Dave & Wendy would like to thank all their regular Jive Time members and fellow Rock 'n' Rollers who have supported and helped to raise over £3,500 towards a fantastic new dance floor at the club. They would particularly like to thank Dave Martin ("The Maverick") who did a magnificent job as our DJ for all the 'Raise the Floor' nights. Special thanks to all the people who donated items for auction, raffles, sale of greeting cards and sponsored slim, the individuals own efforts to raise funds and our friend Keith (a non Rock 'n' Roller) who donated £500. Without everyones help we would not have been able to achieve this wonderful floor.
  A special opening dance night was held on Friday 2nd May 2008. We had a brilliant evening of Rock 'n' Roll with The Maverick playing all our favorite tunes. A mix and match Jive competition of 14 couples was won by Warner and Jade, both Jive Time members who had never danced together before. They were presented with a trophy each before they took to the floor to give the usual winners dance.
